Kalona Cooperative Technology Company (KCTC)
The City of Kalona received Ripple Effect grant funding to support a student-built housing project. High school students worked under the direction of local contracts to restore a 100-year-old home into a modern home. The City of Kalona plans to continue the student-built housing project and rehabilitate, tear down, or build new homes in Kalona. The proceeds from the sale of the house will go towards future endeavors.
